Hello, my name is Linda Lafferty. I grew up in Ireland in a traditional Catholic home. I am a middle child and as such, growing up in a large family in a small community, I developed a passion for people.
I completed my B.A. in Business Retail Management and after working in that field for 5 years, I realized that retail could not fulfill my enthusiasm for interacting with people. I made a truly life changing decision: I left all that I knew and loved to take a job teaching English in South Korea. I have worked with people of all ages and nationalities since coming here. I have learned so much about myself, since coming to Korea, as well as this amazing world we all live in. In addition to living and teaching in South Korea, I have traveled to many other countries.
It has been a phenomenal personal journey to experience life in a foreign culture. As a young, single woman I never thought that it was possible to achieve so much on my own but living and working in a non-English speaking country has allowed me to explore my own beliefs and values as well as helped me to lower my barriers and open myself up to new things.
